The movement into Autumn/Winter is always a tricky one, it’s about keeping warm whilst keeping fashionable and of course, adding a touch of sparkle for those Christmas parties. The catwalks brought us shearling coats, camel capes, minimalistic tailoring and a nude palette and this season Tara Lacey has hit the nail on the head for these A/W trends.
LadyM of online fashion magazine LadyM Presents gives her pick of Tara Lacey’s Autumn/Winter key pieces:
The Leather Jacket
The Swagger & Soul Cropped Leather Jacket combines the perfect mix of simple tailoring, with a great cut, alongside the dove grey from this season’s chilled colour palette. The jacket is a staple for your wardrobe, with a high neck and mid zip which can instantly be transformed into a cropped jacket for Summer. The New Zealand leather is the softest you can find, and the elbow slits add an extra urban edge. this is most certainly an investment piece and is a must-have for all year round.
This 2Love Tony Cohen Caramel cotton shirt dress is a gorgeous piece lending to the minimalism trend this season. A fabulously rich colour, cotton shirt dress with buttoned sleeves and a ruffle detail dress. This dress, although a strong colour is perfectly serene for the minimalist movement, wear with skinny jeans and a long pendant to set this outfit off fantastically.
Despite the caramels, creams, tobacs and greys of the A/W palette, colour blocking is still key for this season. Liven up those dark days with this effortlessly sexy Kate + Ava’s classic structured shoulder dress. A vivid red figure-hugging dress oozing ladylike elegance with a high neckline and gathered shoulders. It’s perfect for the office but come 5 o’clock -slip on some stilettos and it’s perfect for the cocktail hour.
High waisted trousers were seen on the runway at Chloé for a touch of retro film star glamour. Katherine Hepburn always looked amazing in high-waisted, wide legged trousers and now you wear your own take on this look with these gorgeous Nocture Silk Tapered Trousers. Billed as essential for every career woman’s wardrobe, these trousers are a twist on the regular wide-legged trousers but maintain that high-waist in an elegant silk.
